Workshops & Facilitation

Strengthen Teams. Execute plans.

Designed for learning spaces, retreats, and meetings where experienced facilitation can keep the conversation moving

What you can expect from meeting facilitation

Professional facilitation keeps your meetings on track.

Any conversation within an organization or team can go awry at any time. Decision-making conversations, such as those in retreats, strategic planning, or team planning, are most productive with experienced facilitation.  When in doubt, hire someone to lead the conversation.

Outcome: A meeting or retreat that accomplishes your goals.

  • Staff meetings & retreats

  • Department or team meetings

  • Board retreats & customized learning spaces

  • Leadership meetings & retreats

  • Partner and community meetings

Our meeting plans are customized to each client's specific needs and goals. Facilitation is available for the following types of meetings:

What to expect from a meeting facilitation engagement

  1. Agenda planning: Understanding your goals, context, and plans for the meeting.

  2. Materials preparation: Document creation and gathering materials.

  3. On-site or virtutal facilitation. Managing the time and agenda.

  4. Post-meeting debrief. Debriefing the process and sharing back decision items.

Case Study of a Meeting Facilitation — When Meetings Get Heated

In this example, a client hired Stamey Street to conduct a racial equity skills training and facilitate a staff discussion about its application in an organization’s everyday work. In the pre-session planning, our consultant team recognized racialized tensions and put together a plan to address it. The case study includes the situation, the adaptive challenge facing us and our client, the solution, how we responded in real time, and the lessons learned.

What you can expect from our workshops

Intergrate learning into your everyday work.

Our interactive workshops and trainings build the skills, understanding, and momentum your team needs to make equity real inside your organization. Workshops are best utilized when driven by a clear purpose. We offer in person and virtual options. We also offer self-directed, digital courses as needed for large organizations (500+). At Stamey Street, we believe that attending a workshop is not an end goal. Instead, it is one strategy that gives your staff the tools to do their work more effectively, efficiently and equitably.

Workshop topics include:

  • Beyond Compliance: Strategies to Embed Equity into Your Organization’s HR Department

  • Core Management Strategies for Leading Effective Teams

  • How to Operationalize Equity into Your Everyday Work

  • Navigating Resistance and Buy-in

  • How to Use Research to Map Your Advocacy Work

  • How to Be a Great Facilitator

  • Tools: Using Purpose. Outcome. Process. A 5-Minute Strategic Planning Process

All sessions are practical, engaging, and action-oriented, not just theoretical.
